The founder of Black Lens Network, a platform built around one simple idea: talent should be easier to find, and opportunities should be easier to access. My journey into the creative industries began with the launch of Lions Den Productions, my independent production company. In 2025, I took the next step and filmed my first film, gaining first-hand experience of what it means to develop a project, bring creative people together and navigate the industry from the inside.

That experience led me to a bigger question: what if there was a dedicated network making it easier for Black creatives to find each other? There are talented Black filmmakers, actors, writers, producers, photographers, designers and other creatives working across the UK, but talent can often exist in isolation. People don't always know who is out there, who to collaborate with, or where the next opportunity might come from. So I decided to build it.

Black Lens Network is not simply a networking group. It is being built as an ecosystem. The vision is to create a platform where Black creative talent can be discovered, connected and given greater visibility. while creating a bridge between creatives, organisations, brands and companies looking for talent. The directory is at the heart of that vision. Over time, BLN aims to become a place where people can actively search for creative talent, discover collaborators, find opportunities and build professional relationships.
